Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Retail.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a team of retail store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement store strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to achieve business objectives and implement company-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of retail store staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and overheads.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the pet industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
