Job Summary

LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supportive Education Professional to join their team at a large secondary school in Long Eaton. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships with children, and a sound working knowledge of the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SUPPORTING CLASSROOM LEARNING: Collaborate with class teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • WORKING WITH SMALL GROUPS AND 1:1 INTERVENTIONS: Deliver targeted interventions to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • COVERING CLASSES IN THE ABSENCE OF A CLASS TEACHER: Take on additional responsibilities, covering classes and maintaining continuity of learning.
  • PLANNING AND RUNNING INTERVENTIONS: Develop and deliver tailored interventions to support students with specific needs, drawing on your expertise and knowledge of the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a relevant degree or HLTA qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in education theory and practice.
  • EXPERIENCE IN EDUCATION: Possess at least one year's experience working within an education setting, showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse teaching environments.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF SEN NEEDS: Understand various Special Educational Needs (SEN) requirements, enabling you to provide effective support to students with different abilities.
  • 1:1 WORKING EXPERIENCE: Have experience working one-to-one with students, developing strategies to promote engagement and progress.
  • NATIONAL CURRICULUM KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the National Curriculum, or be willing to learn content as appropriate.
