Taunton Orthodontist

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a talented Orthodontist to join our team in Taunton, Somerset.

This is a substantive employed post, delivering between 4 and 10 sessions per week, negotiable.

You will work closely with a team of consultants, specialist dentists, and a trainee therapist, providing opportunities for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

**Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a comprehensive range of orthodontic services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of orthodontic techniques.
• Manage complex cases, including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial anomalies, and restorative issues.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, mentor junior staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) for orthognathic and oral surgery patients.
• Promote innovative ideas to enhance the orthodontic service.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals.

**Requirements:

• Degree in Dental Surgery with full UK GDC registration, specialist register in Orthodontics.
• Completion of a 3-year training program in Orthodontics at Consultant level.
• Pass the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Orthodontics, or equivalent, within six months of expected date of achieving ISFE.
