Transport Team Leader

We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, and our purpose is to make every day taste better. Our company is a vibrant, fast-paced food manufacturer employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK's food retailers with a wide range of products, from sandwiches and soups to cooking sauces and ready meals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Greencore delivery network, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Manage the workload of drivers, allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with customer service and third-party providers to resolve any issues.
  • Monitor and control key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize depot performance.
  • Ensure safe Health and Safety practices are followed at all times.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.50, with a £1.15 night rate for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
  • Overtime premiums payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter.
  • A 5-day shift pattern, with opportunities for overtime.
Requirements:
  • Desirable experience working within the transport industry.
  • Good attention to detail and self-discipline to work under pressure.
  • Computer literacy, including the use of Excel spreadsheets.
