Design and Technology Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our Northampton Business Directory team, inspiring creativity and innovation in students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for teaching Design and Technology, a deep understanding of the subject, and the ability to engage students of all abilities in areas such as product design, resistant materials, and digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that foster creativity, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students can develop confidence in using tools, materials, and digital technologies.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Actively participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives to inspire a passion for Design and Technology beyond the classroom.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level, with expertise in areas such as product design, materials, or CAD/CAM.
  • A passion for continuous professional development and staying current with educational and technological advancements.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
