Job Description

AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Exeter office, working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer varied and interesting work with high-profile public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and provide building surveying/project management duties across multiple projects and sectors.
  • Assist in developing new and repeat business across all sectors.
  • Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry issues and best practices.
  • Manage teams and deliver commissions under framework agreements.
  • Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
  • Understand quality, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
  • Deliver pre- and post-contract project management services.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support senior managers in day-to-day business operations.
  • Manage project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
  • Conduct condition and measured surveys.
  • Design and implement small to medium-sized projects.
  • Perform due diligence surveys.
Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) Building Surveying or equivalent RICS-accredited degree.
  • Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Proven all-round surveying experience.
  • Experience in pre- and post-contract project management, with ability to deliver effectively to clients.
  • Strong team working skills and effective communication at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Liaise with senior colleagues to build a profitable service and positive team environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit advantageous.
  • Awareness of BIM systems.
  • Mentor APC graduates.
  • Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
