Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Job Description:

Troi Search is delighted to be working with a leading brand in the Automotive industry to find their newest Senior Software Engineer. This role is based in Bromley, South of London, and involves working with a small but world-class Engineering team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of applications for the entire brand. You will work with a team that builds and supports software that requires high precision, and you will be expected to deliver high-quality code, including commenting, unit testing, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have around 5 years' Full Stack experience with .Net based development using C#. You will also have experience with developing and supporting distributed event-based architectures built around message buses and event streams. Additionally, you will have at least 2 years' experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and at least 2 years' working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. You will also have experience with NoSQL Databases, such as Mongo or DocumentDB, and be fluent in Linq and associated functional programming practices in the C# environment.

The role also requires you to be flexible and able to work in the office in Bromley ideally 3 days a week and also be able to travel to global destinations for 10 days at a time to provide in-person technical support. You must also be able to work flexible hours as needed to support project timelines and deliver efforts on time.

Key Responsibilities:

* Hands-on with bug fixing, development, and testing across the entire environment.
* Ensure code is of the highest quality, including commenting, unit testing, and documentation.
* Develop and support distributed event-based architectures built around message buses and event streams.
* Experience with consuming and processing high frequency data in a real-time or near real-time environment.
* Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* At least 2 years' working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
* Experience with NoSQL Databases, such as Mongo or DocumentDB.
* Fluent in Linq and associated functional programming practices in the C# environment.
* Experience writing and maintaining Unit, integration, E2E, and regression tests and test suites.
* Experience working with application metrics and monitoring with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloudwatch.
* Understand AGILE development philosophies.

Requirements:

* Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent commercial experience.
* Flexible to be in office in Bromley ideally 3 days a week and also be able to travel to global destinations for 10 days at a time to provide in-person technical support.
