Operations Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as an Operations Supervisor - Milk Collection. This role requires a proactive people manager to oversee the operations of a transport centre in Scotland and the North of England.

The estimated salary for this role is around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Job:

• As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of circa 60 colleagues.
• You will oversee the collection of around 500 million litres of milk per annum from 300 farms and delivery to destinations around the UK.
• Your key focus will be building a people-focused safety culture at the depot, ensuring excellent service levels.
• You will develop and implement effective inbound logistics strategies and business plans to optimize the transport department's performance.
• Critical skills required include forecasting, quality assurance, risk management, and resource optimization.
• Collaboration with key stakeholders – dairies, farmer owners, member relations, and inbound logistics peers – is essential.
• You will ensure the overall maintenance of buildings, washing facilities, and machinery.
