Nursing Director Job Description

Cpl Health Talent is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Nursing Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for nursing and clinical services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee budgetary and financial management related to clinical services, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
  • Develop and mentor nursing and allied health professionals, promoting continuous professional development and excellence in patient care.
  • Successfully implement and drive positive change within the clinical environment, leveraging evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients and staff to enhance effective involvement, consultation, and communication, fostering a culture of transparency and respect.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Manage complaints and serious incidents with a focus on resolution and improvement, upholding the organization's commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC registration, with a degree in a related subject.
  • Continued professional development, with a strong track record of leadership and management experience in the acute or independent sector.
  • Budgetary and financial management experience, with a proven ability to drive results and achieve objectives.
  • Successful development of nursing and allied health professionals, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth awareness of the quality and governance agenda, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution strategies, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to plan, allocate, and evaluate work effectively, with a strong track record of leadership and management experience.
  • Understanding of workforce planning issues in healthcare, with a focus on recruitment and retention strategies.
