Teaching Assistant for SEMH Students - Competitive Daily Rate

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a mainstream secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team of educators and professionals who value diversity and inclusion.

About the Role

As a teaching assistant, you will assist in implementing individualized education plans for SEMH students, fostering trust and confidence in their personal and educational development. You will also monitor and record student progress and behaviour, providing valuable feedback to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications are a plus.
