About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at RVU. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our insurance-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the migration of our architecture from C# ASP.NET to Go/Python, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to our services.
  • Develop new application features to improve our products, working closely with the team to identify and prioritize requirements.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to our coding standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the automation testing of built features, ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the team to build extensible functionality, ensuring our systems are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Participate in peer reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and resolve issues, communicating clearly with the team and stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow and develop in their roles.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in developing applications using Go, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C# ASP.NET.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM agile development methodologies and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience working in cloud computing environments and containerization.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and its application in software development.
