About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Assistant Nursery Cook to join our team at Storal. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for our children and ensuring the safe and hygienic management of our nursery kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide balanced and nutritious meals for all children attending the nursery, catering for children with specific dietary needs
- Instill high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
- Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich, stimulating experiences
- Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
- Be aware of COSHH guidelines and follow relevant procedures
- Deputise for the Cook in all absences, with the expectation of deputising full-time when required
About You:
We are looking for someone with a Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification and a minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role. You should have a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH guidelines. You will also need to reflect our company values of responsibility, openness, and working together.
