Rural Development Specialist

About the Role:

This Senior Planning Consultant position is available in North Yorkshire with a well-established consultancy that focuses on planning and design work across the UK. The successful candidate will have rural experience and a strategic approach to planning related matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead consultancy projects to develop strategies and delivery plans for managing and developing rural land and property for rural enterprise
  • Conduct research, compile evidence, and appraise findings to provide informed advice to clients
  • Oversee project delivery, including leading multi-disciplinary teams, conducting analysis, and producing high-quality reports and presentations
  • Manage projects, either as a leader or team member, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Build and maintain client relationships, handle enquiries, and identify business development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Chartered Town Planner
  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or similar
  • Proven experience in private practice consultancy
  • Experience working on rural projects, estates, and land
  • Client-facing and business development experience
  • Strategic approach to planning related matters
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary of £36,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
