Salary: Up to £55,000

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Oxford. The ideal candidate will be nearing Chartered Engineer status and possess a strong foundation in structural engineering principles. This role will involve contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, educational, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to mid-sized projects with some autonomy, while playing a key role in larger projects with senior oversight.
  • Support the management of structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Provide technical support on-site, addressing and resolving any structural challenges that arise during construction.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a structural focus), or a related field.
  • Close to achieving Chartered Engineer status with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, with exposure to a variety of project types.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical and innovative structural solutions.
