Project Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Design Engineer to join our team at a global leading cooling solutions provider based in Suffolk. The successful candidate will have previous experience of planning projects and designing drawings using AutoCAD Inventor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce assembly, layout and manufacturing drawings with 3D AutoCAD Inventor for standard freezers, adhering to standard procedures.
  • Conduct research and development for new system opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive image of the company brand.
  • Deliver project design on time and at target margin or better.
  • Identify and resolve deviations from plan, reporting to the wider Projects team and highlighting any issues to the Head of Projects.
  • Discover cost-saving opportunities in project design, production, and processes.
  • Expand sector knowledge - software and product information.
  • Submit engineering documentation in line with standard procedure.
  • Comply with design health and safety requirements.
About You:
  • High standards and a commitment to quality in every task.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
