Senior Communications Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Communications Director to join our team at Metro Bank Plc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our integrated communications strategy and public affairs programme.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead on all aspects of external communications, including media relations, stakeholder management, and crisis communication.
  • Develop and implement short, medium, and long-term external communication plans, bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the table.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and projects, ensuring that all communication activities are executed to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that all communication activities are aligned with our corporate and business objectives.

About You

  • You have extensive experience of creating and delivering external communication strategies at a senior level within a financial services organisation or other regulated environment.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • You have a strong understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of different communication mediums and channels, with the ability to identify and highlight associated external communication risks.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
