About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our Global Integrated Pricing Program. As a key member of our DevOps/SRE capability, you will play a critical role in supporting our core Pricing Execution Engine, Polaris. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in systems management, software engineering automation, and database skills to promote best-practice and support the broader program to operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable and scalable server-side software.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical direction on the development of the product and the operability and maintainability of the underpinning services.
  • Adhere to and advocate for software engineering best practices, including technical design, technical design review, unit testing, monitoring & alerting, code review, and documentation.
  • Deploy secure and well-tested software that meets privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Operate and build DevOps maturity, incrementally and measurably improving delivery velocity.
  • Develop and support applications hosted on AWS Lambda.
  • Have at least ten years of experience designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions.
  • Have development experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, C/C++.
  • Must have experience of React and React Redux.
  • Have deep knowledge and direct experience in areas such as data structures, database table design, algorithm design, runtime complexity, system architecture, API design, security, and privacy best practices, at scale monitoring, logging & alerting, testing best practices.
  • Have experience with RDBMS systems, particularly Postgres aurora on AWS.
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps and Azure Repos/Git.
  • Hold a degree in computer science or a related subject.
