Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, the TOS/Dispatcher - Norfolk will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, or equipment to meet customer needs and company schedules.
  2. Communicate with drivers and driving assistants to relay important information and resolve issues.
  3. Use two-way radios, text messages, or telephones to contact employees and manage logistics.
  4. Resolve customer complaints and requests for services or equipment.
  5. Prepare daily work schedules and maintain accurate records of work requests, customer requests, and completed work.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. One (1) year of transportation experience.
  2. High School diploma.
  3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
