About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a SAP Demander - Procurement Support Specialist, where you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and correct processing of procurement requests for various business areas.

As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for maintaining awareness of the correct routes of procurement for goods and services, advising on applicable processes, and ensuring that all new demand requests are reviewed and actioned in a timely manner.

You will also ensure that all demand requests comply with SL procurement processes and procedures, challenge non-compliance where necessary, and input data correctly into procurement systems to enable a 'right first time' approach to procurement.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise and challenge individuals on proposed decision making using technical knowledge. They will also have experience of working in a high-pressured environment with tight deadlines, and evidence of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain awareness of correct procurement routes for goods and services.
• Ensure timely review and actioning of new demand requests.
• Comply with SL procurement processes and procedures.
• Input data correctly into procurement systems.
• Challenge non-compliance where necessary.
• Assist customers in establishing whether required components are available to avoid duplication.

• An attractive salary of £32,552, with the potential to earn up to £34,100, plus further salary progression subject to performance.
