Empowering Learning - Support Teaching Assistant for SEMH Schools

Are you passionate about empowering young people with challenging behaviour to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning, supporting our SEMH schools in South London and Croydon.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and committed team, making a real difference in the lives of our students. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting teachers and pupils, helping to keep students engaged in their learning and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Work with pupils to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Help to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with challenging behaviour
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, such as Education, Psychology, or Youth Work
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to empowering young people and promoting positive outcomes
