Fire Alarm Tester Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Tester to join our team in Kingston upon Thames. As a Fire Alarm Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out weekly statutory fire alarm tests across 6 sites in and around the Kingston area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire alarm testing on a weekly basis
  • Record results for Building's Fire Safety logbooks and Nimbus
  • Develop a good working knowledge of alarm panels and establish contact with fire wardens
  • Report faults detected in fire alarms to the Helpdesk
  • Monitor fire precautions and report problems to the Helpdesk
  • Participate in annual review of fire risk assessments and assist in Fire Marshall training
Requirements:
  • Current and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to learn systems quickly and follow instructions
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • Self-sufficient and able to work without direct supervision
  • Recording and administration skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Desirable:
  • Practical skills in operation of fire alarm panels
  • Working knowledge of Fire Safety precautions and electrical systems
  • Nimbus training and operation
