Residential Care Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team in Bedford and Essex. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and fostering ambition in young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support during challenging times
  • Foster ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximising their potential
  • Offer support in the educational pursuits of young individuals
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager
  • Empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future
  • Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
  • Encourage community engagement, attend off-site activities, and expand their personal social networks
  • Meet the needs of children and young people, organise social activities and maintain the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning shopping etc.)

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Full UK driving license preferable
  • No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
  • Attendance at a 2-week training program required
  • Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
