About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our 12-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ITU). This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced Consultants and contribute to the development of our dynamic department.

Main Responsibilities

The key duties of this role include:

  • Providing specialist anaesthetic services to patients in the ITU
  • Participating in a 1:9 dedicated ITU rota and contributing to the team's clinical responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A basic medical degree
  • FRCA or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT in Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Medicine or equivalent
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months
Desirable Criteria

The following qualifications and skills are desirable:

  • FFICM OR DICM or EDICM
  • Broad experience in all aspects of Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Acute Pain
  • Evidence of Advanced ICU training recognised by FICM or equivalent
