Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our integrated Children's Community Nursing Service as a highly motivated Band 6 Paediatric Nurse.
The role will involve working with children and young people receiving treatment for acute conditions such as short-term enteral feeding, intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and wound care management.
The team also supports children and young people with long-term conditions including oncology, complex disabilities, and palliative care.
With this role, there is a great opportunity to work alongside our allied professionals, the wider multi-disciplinary team, social care, and local education providers.
Main Duties of the Job
We are seeking highly motivated Band 6 Children's Nurses to work within our integrated Children's Community Nursing Service.
Applicants need to have the ability to work both autonomously and within the wider nursing team.
The role will involve working with children and young people receiving treatment for acute conditions such as short-term enteral feeding, intravenous antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and wound care management.
The team also supports children and young people with long-term conditions including oncology, complex disabilities, and palliative care.
In addition to this, the team also carries out continuing care assessments for children and young people within the caseload and works across our special schools service.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- RSCN/RNC
- 1 year's nursing experience
- IV certificate
- Experience with working with children with complex needs
Desirable Criteria
- Central venous device access
- Community nursing degree
Experience

- Experience of working with enteral feeding devices
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
Ability to work autonomously

- Experience with home ventilation and tracheostomy care
