Aon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pensions Accountant to join our expert Pensions Accounts team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing Trustee Reports and Financial Documents for our pension scheme clients, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and SORP regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely Trustee Reports and Financial Documents for a portfolio of pension scheme clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Attend regular meetings with partners to drive progress, identify issues, and deliver insightful solutions.
  • Work closely with UK and offshore accounts teams to prepare and review financial documents, organize audits, and respond to client inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with teams across Aon's locations and third-party providers.

Requirements

  • Accounting experience with statutory accounts production, preferably in pensions, with a strong understanding of regulatory and SORP requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with client teams, auditors, and other providers.
  • Drive to be a subject matter expert in pension scheme accounts, with a high level of technical knowledge and behavioral standards.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
