Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Daywork Operator Technician to join our team at Crossness Sewage Treatment Works in South East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, following a checklist for planned preventative maintenance.
  • Report any defective equipment to ensure swift resolution of breakdowns.
  • Identify and resolve health and safety risks on site, taking ownership of your own and colleagues' safety.
  • Conduct point-of-work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Be aware of budget positions and the impact of unplanned events on the budget.
  • Attend team meetings, engage with safety briefings, and provide constructive feedback to the management team.
Requirements
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with a willingness to be trained in safety procedures, including Confined Space Entry.
  • Some computer data input and enquiry experience is desirable.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence is required.

  • A competitive salary from £25,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
