About the Role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join their Transmission & Distribution Ltd UK business due to significant growth. This role will lead the day-to-day activities of the Planning team to ensure all tasks are executed on secured projects and those being tendered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and ensure the Transmission & Distribution Planning team's delivery aligns with current policies and procedures.
  • Develop the team's skills and knowledge to meet business needs.
  • Support the development of systems and technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
Requirements
  • Degree in a related discipline.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of the core principles of contracts management, commercial management, and project management.
  • Working knowledge and application of earned value and other monitoring techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with internal colleagues and within client's organisations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and able to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of risk management processes/ techniques and experience in facilitating risk workshops with project/ assignment teams.
  • Advanced working knowledge of relevant software tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.
