Category Manager

As a Category Manager at Young's Seafood, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our categories. This involves working closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, and using data and insights to inform our product development and range review processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies that meet our customers' needs and drive business growth
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and ranges
  • Monitor and analyze category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations to senior management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our customers, understanding their business needs and preferences
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, using this information to inform our category strategies
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a commercial or category management role, with a strong understanding of the retail environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload
  • Experience with data delivery platforms, such as Kantar, IRI, and Nielsen
