We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Cygnet Lodge Lewisham. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with mental health difficulties.

About the Role

You will be working in a specialist high support inpatient rehabilitation service for men, providing a homely and community-facing environment that focuses on pre-discharge planning for individuals who may have been in hospital for an extended period or are preparing for community life but need further support to move to more independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver occupational therapy services to patients.
  • Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of patient needs.
  • Support patients in developing skills and strategies for daily living.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to healthcare.
