Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Caring Support Professional to join our team at our residential home. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Location: Based in a children's residential home

Contract Type: Casual basis

Estimated Salary: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Caring Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing individualized care and support to residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

You will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure that residents receive the highest level of care and support. This will involve working on a flexible shift pattern, including sleep-ins, to meet the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized care and support to residents
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Encouraging and supporting residents to participate in activities and therapies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident activity
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the team to achieve agreed outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualities:

  • A full manual driving license
  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people (desirable)
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce
  • Able to work on own initiative and maintain accurate records
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to engage and motivate young people
