Engineering Department Head Job Summary:

MCS Group is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company in County Tyrone to recruit an experienced Engineering Department Head. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role and oversee the maintenance team, ensuring the continued development of the maintenance function and providing a proactive service to the site.

About the Role:
The Engineering Department Head will be responsible for managing the job request system via SAP, developing and monitoring PMS schedules on SAP, and communicating progress to the engineering management regularly. You will also prioritize, plan, and issue work duties to a team of multi-skilled technicians, including apprentices. Additionally, you will analyze plant and equipment failures, follow up on progress, and set an example in safe and considerate behavior.

Key Requirements:
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent (Mechanical or Electrical) qualification
• Leadership skills and experience of managing teams
• Commitment to safety, including people and products
• Basic Food Hygiene knowledge
