Job Summary

The National Museum of the Royal Navy is seeking a skilled Lead Rigger to join their team. As a key member of the rigging team, you will be responsible for maintaining the masts, yards, and rigging on historic vessels, ensuring they are in good condition and meet historical accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the rigging team in maintaining and repairing masts, yards, and rigging on historic vessels.
  • Manage the purchasing and coordination of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete health and safety paperwork.
  • Coordinate works with other teams and contractors.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of square rig standing and running rigging.
  • Experience in completing rigging maintenance on traditional vessels.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage projects.
  • Good planning and coordination skills.
