About the Job:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our team at GE Aviation. As a Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for managing project schedules, identifying potential risks, and mitigating their impact.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management processes and tools, quantitative risk analysis, and experience in applying forensic analysis for EOT claims preparation. A degree in engineering or project management is essential, and 5 years of experience in planning management, including 2 years in electrical substations, is required.

Salary:
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on location and experience.

About the Candidate:
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Planning professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning turnkey projects in the transmission business, with experience in electrical substations. Experience in HVDC projects is highly desirable. The candidate should have a strong understanding of risk management processes and tools, quantitative risk analysis, and experience in applying forensic analysis for EOT claims preparation.

Responsibilities:
* Manage project schedules, including resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycle
* Identify activities prerequisites and help anticipate blockers with wider project teams and third parties
* Ensure schedule analysis to determine project schedule trends and related risks & opportunities, then work with project teams to drive mitigation strategies
* Present all time schedule data transparently, attend project and management reviews to present schedule status, describe trends and forecasts/landing, make proposals, and influence strategic decisions
* Produce and communicate internal project reporting of project status
* Lead collaboration with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces, including maintenance of an interface register
* Maintain a register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Manager
* Generate 'what if' scenarios to optimise execution and work with project teams to evaluate feasibility

Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree qualified in engineering or project management
* 5 years minimum of experience in planning management, including 2 years in electrical substations
* Robust experience in Primavera P6 user
* Relevant experience in planning turnkey projects in the transmission business (electrical substations)
* Any experience in HVDC projects is a differentiator
* Experience on large & complex infrastructure projects or in international and multicultural environment is advantageous
* Knowledge of risk management processes and tools, quantitative risk analysis is advantageous
* Experience in applying forensic analysis for EOT claims preparation is advantageous
