Job Title: Electrical Shift Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Supervisor to join our team at Integral UK Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of critical facilities, including data centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the site-based engineering team, including internal and MEP responsibilities.
- Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective, and efficient manner, including MV switching operations.
- Control all activities relating to the technical and efficient operation of installed building systems, including all MEP assets and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Prepare and support specialist vendor planned, reactive, and corrective works, ensuring relevant change management approval is submitted for all critical works.
- Ensure that specialist vendor worksheets are signed off where necessary, and the quality of work has been inspected and recommendations are communicated by the engineering team.
- Provide backup as engineering relief cover in the event of an emergency, which may require temporary shift working.
- Ensure the team and specialist vendors comply with contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
- Key operator of the Corrigo CMMS system, ensuring that MEP PPM, reactive, and corrective work orders/tasks are accurately completed within SLAs.
- Monitor progress throughout the shift to ensure compliance with expected outputs from your team.
- Attend weekly operations meetings, client meetings as requested, in conjunction with Integral account management.
- Assist the Assistant Chief Engineer/Chief Engineer in completing the monthly and quarterly engineering report as detailed in the BlackRock/JLL SSOW contract, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted.
- Contribute and highlight engineering risk and report on critical systems availability daily.
- Complete the shift handover reports, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted and effectively communicated to oncoming shifts and Integral management.
- Control critical spares, including maintaining site stock registers, auditing stock levels, and procuring spares from suppliers as required.
- Compile critical incident and near-miss reporting and after-action reviews.
- Ensure all MEP planned maintenance is undertaken in line with OEM/SFG20 requirements as a minimum.
- Ensure all critical equipment operational issues are escalated immediately, in line with local site processes.
- Review service reports of all specialist vendors, chasing any recommendations or follow-up actions with specialist vendors.
- Produce site-specific SOP/MOP/EOP.
- Assist the Assistant Chief Engineer in delivering critical infrastructure scenario training, taking a lead role in the development of engineers within the team.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, including TBTs.
- Escalate specialist vendor performance issues, detailing accurately the areas of performance concerns.
- Ensure technical/legislative updates are effectively communicated to all team members.
- Maintain minimum levels of resourcing onsite, support the arrangement of suitable cover/replacement.
- Active participation in the site ONWH escalation and support of the 24/7 operation.
- Take ownership of areas (including all plant rooms) under Integral control, ensuring they are brought up to and maintained to the required show site standards.
- Liaise with the supply chain when ordering M&E components for remedial works.
- Proactively attend nominated training courses as identified by Integral management in line with the account training matrix, driving a positive culture within the team regarding personal development and training.
- Undertake site-specific technical assessments and skills gap analysis at intervals defined by Integral/JLL/BlackRock.
- Coach new employees as part of the process for onboarding new starters.
- Participate in the engineering quality assurance process to validate the standards of completed works, auditing 10% of completed work orders to ensure levels of quality are maintained.
- Complete all responsibilities in line with the site-based MEP responsibilities matrix.
- AladinWorks alarm response and escalations for all critical alarms while on shift duty.
