Maintenance Operations Specialist

We are recruiting a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team in Salisbury to support Lab shutdown and maintenance operations.

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

A Security Clearance is mandatory for site access.

Job Description
  • To oversee and coordinate maintenance activities using a CMMS system.
  • Evaluate and prioritize maintenance tasks based on asset condition, risk, and business needs.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including job cards, comments, personnel details, and labour times.
  • Collaborate with operations engineers and technicians to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Verify availability of parts, materials, and special tools required for maintenance activities.
  • Issue Equipment/Asset Labels as needed and maintain equipment numbering systems.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess experience with maintenance planning and scheduling processes, procurement of materials, cost estimating, sub-contracting, and monitoring of job schedules and costs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.

Familiarity with manufacturing operations, processes, and business requirements, including day-to-day priorities.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory and code requirements to ensure compliance (asbestos, HSE, confined space, electrical codes, etc.).
