Job Summary

Step Teachers is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team of educators. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality art lessons, planning engaging curriculum content, and marking student work to ensure continuous progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver creative and inspiring art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and national standards.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Behaviour Management: Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a UK-based school.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art on a KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Classroom Skills: Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
