
Construction Skills Developer

At CV Library, we are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our team as a Construction Skills Developer. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of our construction facilities.
This role offers a chance to carry out a varied and technical role, supporting and developing the construction facilities on offer. Key responsibilities include:
- Technical Support: Providing hands-on assistance to staff and students in workshop sessions, ensuring the smooth delivery of programs in Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Electrical Installations, and Plumbing & Heating.
- Program Support: Actively contributing to the success of our Construction department by offering technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
- Working in our construction workshops and using your knowledge, experience, and ideas to continuously improve our current processes and procedures with the potential to develop these further to create the best training facilities in South Yorkshire.
- Providing technical assistance and advice by taking an active role in supporting academic staff and students in all workshop activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A strong understanding of construction principles and practices, with experience in either Bricklaying or Carpentry & Joinery being a significant advantage.
- A Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to undertake), training in Health and Safety Principles, and First Aid at Work (although these are not essential).
- A Level 2 (or above) vocationally relevant qualification in a core discipline.
