About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and part-qualified AAT to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Management Accountant. As a key member of the team, you will provide financial advice and support to managers and clinicians within the west division, covering Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Work with staff to explain variances between budgeted and actual expenditure and help them take corrective action.
- Maintain and enhance the customer-orientated approach of the Finance Team through timely and professional help and advice.
- Investigate financial enquiries, providing assistance and advice as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- AAT part-qualified.
- Significant, relevant experience of working in a Finance department.
- Experience of preparing management accounts.
Desirable
- Experience of preparing monthly forecasts.
- Experience of assisting in an annual budget setting process.
- Experience of preparing variance analyses.
- Experience of preparing reports for budget holders.
- Experience of pushing budget holders for corrective action to adverse variances.
