Job Description:

We're working in partnership with a global packaging business to add a trainee to their production department.

This trainee will learn everything they need to know from the ground up in how to set and operate a variety of print finishing equipment used within the production process.

The ideal candidate will be eager to start a career in the industry and have experience of working in manufacturing, or have worked in a busy FMCG production environment.

The role involves learning how to set, operate, and maintain equipment, understanding and interpreting job tickets, and assisting in general routine maintenance.

The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, have good English language skills, and be happy to work in a fast-paced factory environment.

The starting salary is £22,000, rising to £28,000 once fully trained, with opportunities for growth and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to set, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment
  • Understand and interpret job tickets
  • Assist in general routine maintenance

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in manufacturing
  • Some level of mechanical competence
  • Computer literate with good numerical understanding
  • Good English language skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Happy to work in a fast-paced factory environment
  • Ability to problem solve and show initiative
