Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Chesterfield. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have been excluded from mainstream education due to behavioral and SEN-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to deliver personalized lessons and support their learning
  • Manage your own daily schedule to ensure each student receives the support they need
  • Travel to students' homes to deliver 1:1 educational sessions and provide emotional and behavioral guidance
  • Work closely with staff to create tailored lesson plans and contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Access to a car and a full UK driving license
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Passion for inclusive education and a desire to work with students who need it the most
