Job Title: Lawyer Advocate

Seven Resourcing is seeking a highly experienced Lawyer Advocate to work on an interim basis with Gloucestershire County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and advising on contracts, subsidy control, and procurement issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake advocacy and represent the Council in the Court arena.
  • Represent Legal Services, the Council, and external clients in meetings, including committee and member meetings, inquiries, and working groups.
Requirements:
  • Experience of undertaking advocacy in court, including contested hearings requiring the cross-examination of witnesses.
  • Qualified barrister, solicitor, or chartered legal executive.
  • Membership of the relevant professional body.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract and procurement law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
