With a current turnover of c£15m, they currently have operations across 2 sites, with several more on the horizon. Whilst they continue to operate as their own entity, they are also part of a Fortune 500 business, which further provides the structure and security to support their ambitious growth plans, both in the UK and on a Global footing.

As Head of Finance, you will be a key influential figure in their senior leadership team and future direction of the business. Predominantly based at their East Yorkshire Head office, you will also have the freedom and flexibility to work 1-2 days per week from home.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Be an active part of the Senior Management team which sets the strategy for the company.
  2. Provide ownership for the financial controls, systems, processes, measures and reporting for the business.
  3. Provide financial leadership to the business, including forecasting, budgeting, and analysing variations from budget.
  4. Manage, monitor and control the setting and adherence of policies relating to costing, estimating margin control and pricing.
  5. Actively engage with every department to ensure the highest possible standards of control over costs, cost recovery and expenditure.
  6. Manage all accounting activities, including the maintenance of the ledger accounts and production of financial statements and corporate reporting. You will understand the drivers of the numbers and influence them accordingly.
  7. Review customer quotes from a commercial perspective, through robust costing models and understanding of the levers of profitability.
  8. Compile and review the departmental budgets, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, estimated expenses and income, and conduct regular reviews with the budget holders.
  9. Ensure that the company adheres to its regulatory responsibilities for financial accounting.
  10. Prepare and maintain tax records, returns, reports and other related materials with support from the corporate tax team.
  11. Liaise with professional advisors including bankers, auditors, tax advisors and solicitors.
  12. Your role is not a reporting function, it is to be the principal custodian for financial stewardship, providing leadership in ensuring policies are established, reviewed and adhered to that deliver the highest achievable standards of financial performance and profitability.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA.
  2. Experience from the Manufacturing industry, preferably having implemented standard costing.
  3. A track record of delivering digital transformation projects and working with systems.
  4. Multi-site experience would prove beneficial, managing across borders.
  5. Either previous responsibility of being in a No.1 Finance role, or ready to take this next step.
  6. Willingness for occasional UK travel to Group Head Office, and to European sites (typically just a handful of times per year).
  7. Strong character to influence and add value to the senior management team in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Have a genuine passion, ambition and drive, together with commercial acumen in order to help their ambitious growth plans.
  9. Possess the interpersonal and leadership skills to coach and educate all staff.
What's on Offer:
  1. A generous starting salary in the region of £70,000 - £75,000
  2. Additional car allowance of c£7,000
  3. 10% Bonus

  5. Flexitime over a 37.5-hour week, including a lunchtime finish every Friday.
