Long-term Teachers Ltd is a dynamic agency that partners with schools across Devon to provide exceptional support services. We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Specialists to join our team on an ad-hoc basis.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide essential classroom support for students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, PLMD, and visual impairments. You will be expected to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages learning and personal development, while collaborating with teachers, other LSA's, and specialists to meet the educational and emotional needs of students.

  • Support students in various settings, adapting your approach to meet individual needs
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and progress
  • Foster strong relationships with school staff, parents, and guardians to ensure seamless communication and support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A background in education or a related field, with experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • A good understanding of strategies to support learners with additional needs, including behavioral and academic challenges
  • A positive attitude and strong commitment to helping students achieve their potential
  • Flexibility to work in different schools on a short-term, ad-hoc basis, with a valid driving licence and access to your own transport highly beneficial
