Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. As an SRE Manager, you will be responsible for improving the productivity of engineers, creating effective reporting mechanisms, and ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion of work within the SRE team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational excellence and foster collaboration within the SRE team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making, utilising metrics and performance indicators to assess team efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and mentorship to team members, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control practices, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining quality standards.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and best practices to ensure deliverables meet defined standards and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (computer science or related fields) or equivalent experience in building scalable solutions to improve service reliability and/or increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience with object-oriented or scripting programming languages such as Java or Python to build DevOps/SRE solutions.
  • Experience with agile systems development methodologies.
  • 5+ years experience managing engineering teams.
