About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Marine Engineer to join our team at Ayesa - UK and Ireland. As a key member of our marine engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all marine designs meet the highest standards and are in accordance with set regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor processes and results to ensure compliance with relevant safety, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements
  • Design and inspect marine structures, taking into account marine environmental issues and constraints
  • Develop and implement robust, value-based, and commissionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality marine engineering solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to marine works and ability to use relevant software
  • Experience in the design and inspection of marine structures, with a strong understanding of marine environmental issues and constraints
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing team progress and updates
  • Sound working knowledge of BS 6349, Eurocodes, and related marine guidance
