About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrator to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our home's management team, you will provide essential support to the General Manager, ensuring the efficient operation of our high-quality care home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Welcoming Environment: Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors, creating a positive impression of our care home.
  • Manage Enquiries and Showrounds: Coordinate and manage showrounds for prospective families, utilizing our customer database to support commercial performance and conversion of enquiries.
  • Drive Occupancy and Reputation: Contribute to the occupancy and reputation of our care home as part of our community engagement team.
  • Support Resident and Family Feedback: Focus on customer care by supporting resident and family feedback.
  • Recruitment and Payroll: Assist with the recruitment of home staff, complete employment new starter checks, and arrange inductions. Prepare payroll for home-based staff.
  • HR Support: Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR-related queries using our HR tools and resources.
  • Document Management: Ensure all personal files are stored securely.
  • Meetings and Minutes: Attend meetings and produce accurate notes and minutes where required.
  • Rota Management: Ensure all rotas are complete.
  • Financial Management: Manage safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts.
  • Staff Development: Update ad-hoc training, supervisions, and appraisals on staff records. Offer guidance on staff development opportunities, including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications.
Requirements
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • HR Administration: Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient user of Microsoft, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CIPD Qualification: CIPD qualification would be beneficial.
