Job Summary
The East Ayrshire Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teacher of Technical Education to join our team at Stewarton Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and creative curriculum that supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives in relation to the Education Plan and the Community Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a curriculum that challenges, supports, and inspires all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate curriculum objectives and promote a culture of excellence.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of the curriculum and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they are equipped to deliver the curriculum effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in curriculum development and delivery.
Requirements
- Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
- PVG Scheme membership or a PVG Scheme Record Update, as required by East Ayrshire Council.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Working Conditions
This is a temporary part-time post based within Stewarton Academy. The hours of work are 21 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Wednesday at the direction of the line manager. The full-time salary of the post is between £38,000 and £48,000 per annum, with the actual part-time salary being between £23,000 and £29,000 per annum.
