Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fibre Exchange Construction Specialist to oversee the installation of fibre infrastructure on our national datacentre deployment sites. This role involves managing build activities, including greenfield and warehouse telecom sites, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contractors and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend and chair installation pre-start meetings with designers, contractors, and safety specialists to discuss project plans and timelines.
  • Provide written weekly updates for all sites in progress, highlighting any challenges or successes.
  • Conduct quality audit checks on each in-progress site to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in civils construction, with experience working with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
  • Supervisory experience in concrete works is essential for this role.
  • A valid CSCS Card and SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards, including Construction Design Management Regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable construction standards and legislation.
Salary and Benefits
