About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Manager to support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of our high-profile National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio of clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies and solutions to embed new approaches to award-level data monitoring and reporting across the research infrastructure portfolio.
  • Implement scheme-level monitoring, evaluation, and learning approaches, including impact evaluation.
  • Work closely with the Infrastructure team and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team to achieve project goals.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research.
  • Understanding of the monitoring of funding awards and evaluation of programs.
  • Experience of working in research funding/management.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Evidence of ability to write reports and analyze data.
  • Current knowledge of the UK's health and care research and policy landscape.
