Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the life of a pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with ALN, assisting them with classroom activities and implementing strategies to promote their academic development. A positive relationship with the pupil is essential, as well as effective communication with the teacher and parents to monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support tailored to the pupil's needs
  • Assisting with numeracy and literacy tasks
  • Implementing strategies to support the pupil's academic development
  • BUILDING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PUPIL
  • Communicating effectively with the teacher and parents

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a SEN setting
  • Experience working 1:1 with pupils with ALN
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Two professional references
